Default Some questions

Hello everyone. I'm finally starting to get more familiar with the game and I have some questions. First of all, I'm currently at level 7 and I'm looking for monsters to kill that will give me good XP. Currently, I am wandering around the wilderness and the toughest monsters I can seem to find are level 5 or less. Also, I completed the quest where you go into the Northlands, but since I returned, the guard won't let me go back in there. What lvl do I need to be for that?
Anyway, I'm enjoying the game immensly, but starting to get a little bored. Lastly, where do I learn to make things with these "common crafting materials" I keep finding?
Thx in advance.

[wiki]Pre-Searing guide[/wiki]

You sound like you're ready to get out of Pre-Searing. Go over the [wiki]Pre-Searing checklist[/wiki] to make sure you've gotten everything you can, then finish [wiki]The Path to Glory[/wiki].

Adding to what Savio said...

In Ascalon City there's a weapon crafter that will make you weapons in exchange for crafting materials and some gold. You won't actually be able to 'learn to make things' as jobs aren't part of GW. You simply collect materials then give them to NPC's who'll make armor or weapons as previously said.

Once you leave pre searing you'll encounter many many more crafters through out the game. If you'd like help in game please feel free to message me! My character name is 'Nestaron of Ascalon'

After reading your post and reading the guide you link to, it would seem that I have quite a bit more tasks to complete. Further, I did'nt realize that the game was going to get way more involved than what it is now, I thought that what you refer to as "Pre-searing Ascalon" was the game in total. I stand corrected and am in your debt for the information. I plan to read the guide thoroughly before going any further.
And to think I almost agreed to become a part of the Academy when I was level 5...lol
